Presynct_DictaTrans is a secure web-based application for paperless management
of the incident and investigative reporting processes from creation to archive. Presynct_DictaTrans uses digital versions of existing forms so there is minimal training or behavior change required on the part of the users.
Presynct_DictaTrans combines voice and text in one application that integrates with proprietary records management systems or operates as a stand-alone document management system.
Confidentiality is enhanced by doing away with paper drafts, lost or broken tapes, and misplaced tape recorders. Turnaround time from incident to data sharing no longer takes days or weeks. With Presynct_DictaTrans, turnaround time is measured in minutes! Dictated reports are typed by data entry staff, leaving officer time and resources more effectively utilized in the field. Authors can also type their own reports and skip the dictation and data entry step. Transcription can be securely outsourced without losing control and management of the workflow.
Encrypted voice recordings are created in Presynct_DictaTrans with digital handheld recorders, computer workstations, or telephones. The recorded dictation is immediately available for typing or automatic speech recognition (ASR). Presynct_DictaTrans electronically routes reports for author review and editing. Immediately on approval, reports are automatically routed by Presynct_DictaTrans for supervisor approval or rejection with comments. Workflow routing is configurable to five levels. Finalized reports are archived in a searchable database, and incident data is exported to the RMS.
