Presynct Technologies, Inc. Merges with CMT Corporation

San Francisco, CA – Presynct Technologies, Inc. merges with its “sister” company, CMT Corporation. The merged company will continue in business under the name “Presynct Technologies, Inc.”

CMT Corporation (“CMT”) was founded in 1988 to provide medical transcription services to healthcare institutions. As technology increasingly became an integral part of transcription, CMT included technology and document management along with its transcription services.

In 2000, CMT’s executive management made a strategic decision to expand its services and technology into the public safety market, and in 2004, Presynct Technologies, Inc. (“Presynct”), was formed as a separate entity to serve public safety customers. CMT meanwhile continued to serve healthcare customers. Both companies operated under the same ownership and executive management.

According to Evelyn Graham, President of both Presynct and CMT, “Over time it has become
apparent to us that the two companies have much more in common than in difference.” The
business workflow of documenting a medical incident closely parallels the documentation of a criminal incident. Privacy and security are critical priorities in both industries. The ongoing business of both CMT and Presynct has been the provision of services and technology that streamlines documentation and workflow management – processing, routing, completing, and moving more paperwork with less manpower.

The companies are thus being brought back together in the confident expectation that, by
combining the expertise and resources of the two, the whole will be greater than the sum of its parts. Graham is confident that the resultant increased capacities will benefit both the customers and the employees of the merged entity.
